Paloma Pacheco is a writer and journalist based in Vancouver, Canada, on the unceded, ancestral territories of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations. She writes about art, culture, social issues and how humans and the natural world interact. Her work has appeared in The Globe and Mail, Canadian Geographic, Maisonneuve, The Tyee, POV Magazine and MONTECRISTO, among other publications.

In 2022 she was a National Magazine Award finalist for Best Emerging Writer, and in 2020 she received the Max Wyman Award for Critical Writing emerging writer prize. She holds a master’s of journalism from the University of British Columbia.
